Terms of Service

MockupTown (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website mockuptown.com. These terms apply to everyone who uses MockupTown.

Short version: the tools are free, you own what you make, we don't store your data, and you are 100% responsible for how you use what you create. Do not use MockupTown to impersonate, harm or engage in any illegal activities.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use MockupTown. Younger users may use the free tools under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

The service

MockupTown provides free, browser-based generators for creating mockups, social media previews, and design assets. All asset generation and image processing happen entirely within your browser - nothing is uploaded to or stored on our servers.

Free use

All tools are free to use for personal and commercial projects. No hidden fees, no watermarks on free exports, and no account signup required.

Pro Visa & Payment Processing

We offer an optional Pro Visa membership to support the site and unlock premium features. Purchases are processed through Polar, which acts as our Merchant of Record.

  • Monthly plan - recurring access to premium features. Cancel anytime.
  • Yearly plan - a single payment for extended access.

Upon purchase, you receive a license key delivered by Polar. This key is stored in your browser's local storage/cookies to activate premium features on your device. License keys grant a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access Pro features.

Polar handles all payment processing, tax compliance, and receipts in accordance with Polar's Terms of Service.

No Refunds Policy

Because all tool generation and processing happen client-side within your browser without server-side account tracking, all sales of Pro Visa are final and non-refundable.

You can fully test the free versions of all tools before purchasing. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time via Polar to prevent future billing renewals.

Premium features

Pro Visa unlocks additional capabilities such as:

  • Higher message limits in conversation tools
  • Removal of promotional elements
  • Higher export resolutions
  • Access to Pro-only tools

Feature availability and specifications may change or update over time.

Intellectual Property & Ownership

  • Your Content: You retain 100% ownership over the final exported images and creative works you assemble using MockupTown - whether using free tools or Pro Visa. We claim no ownership, copyright, or licensing rights over your generated outputs.
  • MockupTown IP: The underlying code, design, layout, text, graphics, and brand identity of MockupTown are owned by Nabeel Ali Hashmi and protected by intellectual property laws.

Trademarks and Affiliation

MockupTown lets you generate mockups that resemble popular apps, software, and platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Reddit, Spotify, Discord, Slack, Telegram, TikTok, Apple (iMessage/App Store), Google Play, ChatGPT, and others.

Independent Status: MockupTown is completely independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to X Corp., Meta Platforms Inc., Apple Inc., Google LLC, OpenAI, Discord Inc., Telegram, Spotify, or any other third-party platform or brand in any way.

All product names, logos, UI designs, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for descriptive, presentation, and nominative fair-use purposes. Mockups you generate are your own creative works and are not official, approved, or endorsed by the platforms they resemble.

"Realistic" does not mean "Real"

The word "realistic" is used throughout MockupTown as a descriptive and marketing term. It refers to how closely a mockup approximates the look and feel of the real platform it is inspired by, nothing more. A "realistic" mockup is not a real screenshot, a real conversation, a real account, or a real post, and it is not claimed to be one.

Mockups are intentionally approximations. To remain clearly distinguishable from genuine platform interfaces, generated outputs deliberately retain small differences from the original subjects, for example in styling details, typography, spacing, and available elements. No mockup is an exact reproduction of any real app, interface, or platform, and none should be presented as one.

Responsibility for how a mockup is labeled, presented, or used rests entirely with you, as set out in the Acceptable Use and Liability sections below.

Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

MockupTown tools are created strictly for design presentation, portfolio display, marketing, UI prototyping, education, and entertainment.

You agree NOT to use MockupTown tools to:

  • Impersonate real people, public figures, or organizations without explicit consent.
  • Create misleading, defamatory, libelous, fraudulent, or deceptive content (including fake news, phishing material, scams, or false proof).
  • Generate content that promotes hate speech, harassment, illegal acts, or violence.
  • Attempt to abuse, scrape, reverse-engineer, exploit, or overload our service or infrastructure.
  • Resell, redistribute, or license access to the raw software tools themselves.
  • Mass-generate content via automated scripts or bots for spam or deceptive campaigns.
  • Create profane, obscene, or offensive content.
  • Generate content that supports or promotes enemies of humanity.
  • Attack or disparage anyone's religious faith.

We reserve the right to revoke Pro Visa licenses or block access for users who violate these acceptable use terms.

Zero Responsibility & Absolute Limitation of Liability

MockupTown is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • No Responsibility for Misuse: We are not responsible or liable for any content created using our tools, how that content is shared, or any consequences, damages, disputes, fines, or legal actions resulting from your use of MockupTown.
  • No Responsibility for Technical Loss: We are not responsible for lost work, unsaved browser data, service interruptions, browser crashes, or hardware issues arising while using our tools.
  • Total Damage Cap: In no event shall MockupTown or its owner(s) be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro Visa in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or $0 if you used free tools).

You use MockupTown entirely at your own risk.

User Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MockupTown, its owner(s), and operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your use/misuse of content generated through MockupTown.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which MockupTown operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of MockupTown after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
